Model Colour is a series of highly pigmented, opaque acrylic water-based colours, specially formulated for brushing on resin models, miniatures, and plastic and metal miniatures. The colors are very opaque and cover well without hiding the smallest details on the vehicles or figures. The colors can be blended together and dried to a matt, even finish, without leaving brushstrokes. They can also be diluted using water or Vallejo thinner ref. 70524. Airbrush Thinner Ref. 50% is recommended for airbrushing. 71261. You can correct any mistakes immediately using water or alcohol. Once dried, colors become waterproof and permanent. The range includes a variety of military colors that are equivalent to RAL values as well as glazes, metallic, fluorescent and transparent colors. These colors can be used to tint headlights, signal lights and car windows. They are diluted in Gloss Medium for use on airplanes or cars. Glazes can be used to quickly shade a figure or model.
Mediums : The Model color range includes a number of Mediums that have been specially formulated to enhance the colors’ properties. Glaze Medium is used to dilute the color, delay drying, blend and shade, and it’s perfect for working pigments. Metallic Medium gives colors a metallic or pearly sheen.
